I replaced clutch a couple of months ago but thrush bearing was on wrong so I had to replace it & gearbox went so I bought secondhand gearbox of ebay. After I fitted them on my car,I started it up no probs goes into all gears easy,but when I put it into first gear to pull away nothing car won,t move,but car still running but not moving,help!

hi did you check clutch plate on input shaft splines before fitting second hand gearbox you could have wrong gearbox i assume release bearing is fitted ok and operating mechanism is working ok

I checked the serial num on old gearbox & it matched the 1 I bought out of ebay. I think it has something to do with the linkage gear rods as 1 of the small rods has deteriated so I,ll try a new one.
