Car cutting out

2001 Peugeot 206 1.4 LX
Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2001
Variant: 1.4 LX
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi all,

I bought my car around 4 months ago, however in the past week or so every morning (8AM) I would drive off and as soon as I put the clutch in (dropping the revs below 1K) the car would cut out. However once I restarted the car it would be totally fine. In the last two days the car has struggled to start and needed assistance with some acceleration to get started. Again, once started if it would drop below 1K revs the car would cut out and this morning on my drive to work it must've happened around 10 times! It's also not the best when your power steering cuts out too! Once the car was totally warmed up, around 30 mins into my journey the car was fine.

Anybody had anything similar? I've read on similar threads that this sounds like the temperature sensor?

Thanks,

M

Could be faulty coolant temp sensor . This lets ECU know how much fuel engine needs , I.e more fuel on start up and increases idle speed till engine warms up etc.
