You no when a set of scales is broken and the needle doesn't go down to zero? Well that's happend to my 206, I don't have a clue what the problem could be. All other instruments work fine, it's just the rev gauge.

How would I fix this problem?

This can often be related to a feeble battery, which can also throw up other odd symptoms.
Get it checked by your motor factor with a heavy discharge meter and replace the battery if required.

The other possibility is the speed sensor located over the flywheel, to the right half of the engine, viewed from the front. Check the lead to it isn't damaged and seated correctly. Replace the sensor if suspicious.
