Delayed acceleration

2004 Peugeot 206 sw quicksilver
Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2004
Variant: sw quicksilver
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
car has delayed acceleration, mainly when revs are low but then the acceleration kicks in and the revs go high.

have got a haynes manual and could be due to a vacuum leak at the throttle housing/inlet manifold. sound correct? or any other ideas?

Many possible causes including vac leaks ,have you checked anything on car ? Plugs and timing would be a good place to start .

havent checked anything yet....looking in my haynes manual it says to check all the air intake hoses and filter etc then get an error code diagnostic. then if no codes come up it says it could be an engine management fault and would need to go back to peugeot.

No disrespect , but no point in trying to help you if all you are going to do is read and quote the Haynes manual .
