2005 Peugeot 206 time & date resetting when starting

Car: Peugeot 206
Year: 2005
Variant: SE 2.0HDi
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
When I start the car up from cold, it feels like it struggles a little but starts and the time and date on centre console zero out. I have re~entered the time and date which saves but on restarting the a few hours later it zeros out again..

Sounds like your battery is run down .Get it charged , load tested or replaced if needed .

Thank you. That would probably be why the needles on the gauges go a bit mental on start up. I have looked on the www. and the answers have been the battery but still wanted some expert advice thanks again.
