How to fix faulty electrics in a peugeot 206 1.1 W reg 3dr?
I bought this car last August, since I bought it one thing has gone wrong after another, my most recent being the electrics in the car..... all of this happened at once..... the interior light will only work with the key in, the hazard lights won't work, the clock resets to 1:00 every time I open then close a door (does nothing at all when a door is open it just goes blank) and the radio (which was fitted when I bought it) will only work with the key in. If anyone can gimme an idea where to start I'd be greatful, I'm an electrician so should understand what to do, just never done much on my cars in the past.

where do you start i would remove both door cards and check for broken or chaffed wires in rubber trunking between a post and door on both sides hopefully you will find fault here also check all visable earth connections if fault still there check wires in tailgate to body trunking for damage also rear lights can develop corrosion on circuit boards

check the earth lead at the gearbox and also battery voltage and condition. if ok possible fault with the bsi

there may also be a problem wirh the earthing point under the centre console

Turns out it was a problem with the radio connections never seen so many connector blocks and loose cables.... Thanks everyone.
