2001 Peugeot 206 speedometer and petrol gauge working some of the time

speedometer only seems to work part of the time. noticeable when doing faster speeds. Petrol gauge sticking about a quater from the bottom so worrying about running out of petrol. both need fixing for an MOT?

Could be a faulty VSS (vehicle speed sensor ) and a faulty fuel tank unit .

Can not see how any of these faults will effect your m.o.t as there not testable items.

The fuel gauge may need re calibrating via the BSI,As for the speedo it could be a problem with the transducer in the gearbox unless vehicle speed is via the abs ecu if fitted, Being a 2001 it might not be Multiplexed.
