2002 Peugeot 206 timing slipped ?

206 van 1.4 hdi very sluggish pulling away been told timing belt may of slipped 1 tooth how do i check if this has happened or could it be somthing else, van drives ok once up to speed just very slow getting there!!

Did you have the car serviced for a timing belt not to long ago?

No i don't think the belt has ever been change

Are you getting any boost from the turbo? check all vacuum pipes and air intake pipes. do you have a management light on?
