i have a continuos hissing noise coming from under glove box inside my car it gets more noisy when driving in town i.e the more i use the clutch changing gears the noiser it gets

how are your brakes as your description sounds like the brake servo exhaust. It shouldnt hiss continuosly though.

i ve recently bought a 2nd hand 206 1.6 automatic and over the last couple of days have noticed a hissing noise coming from a similar area to the previous poster it stops when the brake pedal is depressed any ideas top what is causing it?
