Checked brake fluid level( on some cars same light ) and engine oil level ? Could be oil light sensor fault also .

Check your front brake pads and rear brake shoes for correct thickness ( use a micrometer ) , refer to manual for correct thickness if they have worn down to the sensor then please replace the pads ASAP.
