Computer errors on the 206 are quite a common problem. There are lots of reports of components in the instrument cluster failing. I'm assuming this is what you're experiencing here.

Is everything else electrical working ok? Lights, radio etc?

The first thing to check will be the fuse for the instrument cluster - fuse F2 I think - you might want to check that with Peugeot though.

If that isn't the problem then I believe you'll need to get the car in to Peugeot to have the computer software looked at - there are upgrades that fix these sorts of problems.
garage.

Hope that's of some use.
