engine cuts out either when stationary or driving ie no power under accelerator at totally random times.You have to knock it out of gear and let it stop then restart which it never fails to do.When engine stops management light comes on with oil and battery lights.
Its very frustrating because each time I book it in for diagnostics I am told it has to do the actual stopping before they can tell me whats wrong(obviously) and each time I take it the problem has rectified itself as it is totally random. Just to repeat it never fails to restart after it has stopped. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

I'm having a similar problem with my wife's Brava. Some info I received was as follows -
"suspect the wiring, as the problem is intermittent...so check the wires and connectors to MAP sensor" (you should be able to locate this if you have a workshop manual)
