Traction control lights on after replacing power steering

when i replaced the power steering i removed the battery and when i switch it on the traction control and off light went on, and i cant put it off there is no loss of power. the garage where i fix told me that it will go off buy it own, but i don't think so please help, thanks for now Joe

on some cars it will re-set after driving a short distance you could try disconnecting battery again but think you might have to get it re-set using a diagnostic tool but before you do that check and make sure no connections got disturbed when steering work was being done
