Mitsubishi Carisma timing belt change

Car: Mitsubishi Carisma
Variant: 2.0 diesel se lux d
Model Year: 2008

stripped car ready just to change belt there is missing teeth a good 10 atleast ill take a chance and change it maybe be lucky before i take it off ill mark it but is there anyway to tell if timing is ok on it will i just put new belt on as it is same position it came off or is there markings somewhere i can check if all aligned also with them teeth missing i take it car wouldent start would the cam sensor not be able to count teeth is reason wouldent start or is timing off not sure any advice before a change it be great thanks

hi couldent get belt yesterday order be here today cant seen to see any timing marks anywhere on thin car do you know of any diagrams on this or any tips before i do volvo 2.0 diesel se lux d 2008 cant seem to find anything online with that engine D4204T engine it is also thanks for the help

Sorry I dont have any info on that vehicle and have never worked on one .
