What problems can be caused by a faulty Power Steering Pump?
Steering makes squeaking noise when turning the wheel
When turning the steering wheel there is a definite squeak that can change in sound based on how much the wheel is turned or how quickly it's turned. It's more noticeable at slower speeds.
Power steering fluid leaking
There is clear evidence of power steering fluid on or around the pipework between the power steering components.
Steering very heavy
The steering is suddenly a lot heavier than it used to be. It's now very difficult to turn the steering wheel at slower speeds.
