2005 MG ZR rev and die

my son has an mgzr 1.8 and what happens is when he starts the car it revs high then after around 15seconds it revs higher then dies.any help would be grateful as i have lost patients

Check / replace idle control valve and clean throttle body if needed .

check coolant temp sensor check for any air leaks at inlet manifold
