Radiator blocked

i think that my radiator on m fiesta may be blocked i have been told to take the thermostat out and run it without it would this be a safe thing to do

bottom half of radiator stops cold took to garage he checked it for me took home still cold took back checked it again said it was ok can anybody tell me if this is how it should be because to me it dont seem right any ideas

Hi, I have a ford fiesta 2002 zetec s. when i'm driving on the motorway the temp is fine at about the speed limit but if i stray above this is rises but if i slow to about 55-65 it drops back to normal, this has heppened at lower speeds ...
