Overheating

2003 Ford Fiesta 1.4 16v
Car: Ford Fiesta
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.4 16v

Hi, this car was purchased in May of last year. Has been converted for gas. Started having problems with overheating and noticed the fan had been hardwired to the battery. Turns out this was due to a blown master fuse not picked up by previous owner. Water pump and belt were replaced, however some pipes split and more trouble insued. Car was unable to circulate water properly, clogged pipes etc etc. No water was in oil and spark plugs were dry.

Eventually, the radiator sprung a leak, was replaced, no coolant was lost for a day or two, then a cylinder cracked and car ran like a dog....NEW ENGINE...

NOW, the pigging thing is losing coolant again, with no visible leak after new rad, pump, belts, coil pack, then ENGINE, fan, which is now coming on automatically so I assume thermostat is fine. Today noticed the car was low on oil after very few miles covered. Is there any chance that the LPG conversion is the underlying demon or is there something I am missing with regards the cooling system????

If you get a pressure test on cooling system it should show any external leaks .If you get a sniff test (block test ) this will show if any internal leaks i.e head gasket etc.

Sniff test was carried out previously before engine was replaced. Head gasket was ok but a cylinder had split hence replacement. A few cooling hoses were reaplaced along with new engine, new fan also fitted with a rad few weeks ago. Coolant may not necessarily be leaking, as I can't find a leak but could it be evapourating??

Why would a new engine, with new rad, new water pump, new fan motor, blade and housing etc still be running hot??? I can't get my head around it

The tests carried out on the old engine count for nothing , they need to be done on new engine /setup to try and find why losing coolant and over heating .If using oil and no sign of leak either , plus coolant problem , is engine not under warranty ?
