Ford Fiesta Brake Pads Problems

The luggage compartment (boot),light has stopped working.When I bought the car it was fine but this year it occasionally did not come on when I opened the boot. Now it has stopped working completely. I have put in a new bulb but no success....

Occassionally the engine on my fiesta smokes. The engine is not over-heating, and the oil level doesn't appear to be depleating faster than usual. It's not on every occassion, and the smoke is slight - you only notice it when you're stopped...
