2006 Ford Fiesta loses power and then jolts back in again

When it decelerates the car loses all power even the power steering goes which is alarming all the instrument lights come on. When the car is at a stop you can turn the key to off then turn the ignition on again and it is ok to drive. I have taken it to a garage but the diagnostic isn’t picking up any fault codes.

You're losing the power steering because the engine is cutting out . Either try cleaning the idle air control valve or replace if needed , clean throttle body . Similar to this

Relatively minor job to replace IAC but worth tying to clean as it is often all that is needed .
