2005 Vauxhall Vectra loss of power

Car: Vauxhall Vectra
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.9 TDCI
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Bought the car a month ago and from day one have had a problem .The car will lose all power and I limp to the side of the road...engine management light comes on...turn car off and will restart but only at less than a crawl ..then will start to go again after several attempts. It also sometimes seems to try to rev when driving..have had it back to the garage that I bought it from and they can find no recorded faults. This will then not happen for weeks..I dare not drive on a motorway for fear of this happening. Please help....................................

Thanks but it was under warranty when this began and I dont want to take it elsewhere to have to pay myself. After a major "blow out " at the garage I bought it from they have agreed to take it to a specialist dealer. If problem is solved (wont hold breath) I shall post on here so that others can hopefully solve their problems with this too..
