Intermitant Starting Fault

1999 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Zetec
Car: Ford Fiesta
Year: 1999
Variant: 1.25 Zetec
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Hi everyone,

Ive got a starting problem with my GF's Fiesta. Sometimes it starts, sometimes it wont. Ive tried jump starting but this had no effect and all the car electrics work perfectly so this makes me think it isnt the battery.

Upon turning the ignition the car turns over but wont fire. The next day when i try and start the car it'll start first time without any problems.

The car is also revving right up when the clutch is depressed eg at traffic lights. Is this connected or does the throttle body just need cleaned ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i need the car back ont he road as soon as poss.

check the plugs, and running fault will be idle valve or mass air flow sensor

Ive changed the plugs and leads this morning asnd it still wont start. Ive been trying to check resistance of the windings of the coil pack but i cant work out where to test from?

If it isnt the coils pack im at an absolute loss????
