2003 Citroen C2 car will not start just cranking

Car: Citroen C2
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.1 petrol
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I was driving into a car park and upon turning around the oil light came on the engine management came on and the car would not star at all from there. I had the car towed back home, I checked every single fuse not one broken. I had an OBD reader on the car and I got the codes P0351, P0352 & P0135. the first two are that there was a coil failure so ive had a brand new one placed on still no start at all from there and the faults have cleared. aside from that the last code is a o2 sensor. the car is just cranking. I have also replaced the under bonnet fuse box and absolutely nothing at all has changed. I really need help as the next step is to get rid of the car given that time is not on my side and I am desperate for a car.

Possible Crank angle sensor failure.
If your scanner can do live data then check engine RPM when cranking.
Or check the rev counter,
Something should show or the CAS is shot.

when the car is cranking the rev counter does not even come up at all with anything. I will check the live data and see what it comes up with

just done live data. the RPM is displaying 213 only and on the sparked its saying 6. on fuel system 1 it is saying fault and on fuel system 2 it is saying N/A

"0n the sparked"
what does that mean?
If it is generating 213 rpm then pull a spark plug out re connect it as best you can and ground the spark plug on engine metal and crank,
Should be a good bright blue spark jumping the gap.

not a single spark. the engine is just cranking. replaced the fuel relay replaced the fuse box and even replaced the crankshift sensor and getting absolutely nothing. the heater isjnt engages inside when I go to start or nothing. tried to see if it is a blocked fuel filter but no idea where it is had some kind of unit off today that is a black cylinder found on the drivers rear side wheel under a plate. non starting even after new replacement parts starting to cost no idea what it is.

CAS signal runs to the ECU,
drivers in that trigger the coil spark.
so either the wiring is faulty between the two or the ECU drivers are shot.
Usually I find this out after much testing then grilling the owner if it's ever had a flat battery and been jump started with the leads on the wrong battery terminals,
Reversed.
Gnteed to fry ECU coil drivers.
Might be time to send the ECU to some body like "BBE REMAN".
It's around £40 or so to test.

Is the key recognised?
Posted Aug 21, 2018 (5 years ago)
As said I've replaced the crankshaft sensor and the coil packs even the under bonnet fuse box. Spending alot of money now on this car. Could it be the ECU and if it is can I just replace it with another with the same part numbers and so on or is more needed to be changed. I feel the key is being recognised and it wouldn't have caused for the oil light to come on and it judder to a stop. It is still locking and unlocking.

I have also got fault code p0135 meaning the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor. could it be that this is not working so the ecu will not send or allow the spark at the coil pack. and that could then be the reason im getting fault codes p0351 & p0352 for ignition coil a and ignition coil b ? or could I be the most unlucky person ever and have all 4 plugs blow at once or even one that will then stop the car from sparking. im literally just thinking anything and everything at this point im desperate to get it going I dont wanna scrap it !!

Did you replace the spark plugs with the coil and also the extensions?
Posted Aug 22, 2018 (5 years ago)
no I replaced the spark plugs in march along with a full service. what you mean exstentions???
Posted Aug 22, 2018 (5 years ago)
the rubber bits on end of coil that attach to the spark plug.

the spark plugs are new this year, replaced when I serviced the car. tried a new fuse box of which turned out to be faulty so the original is back on the car. it is simply just turning over wanting to start but not doing anything more than that. i cannot see it being the key given the oil light came on and then the engine management. can the o2 sensor stop the car from sparking ? it is just in eco mode not even getting full beam when i turn it on and also the window wipers are completely shot as well as no heater at all before start. i have checked all fuses and they have not blown even replaced them with all new but still in eco mode?

Going by your last post it would seem battery low and needing replaced , charged or a jump start

Tried a jumpstart today nothing at all

I have finally had the car plugged in and it has come down to the ecu. It has failed. As of this I want to know what numbers need to match on the ecu to change it to avoid paying 2000 for an ecu
