2016 Aixam City car suddenly loses power and goes very slowly

Every now and then, completely unpredictably, the car suddenly loses power while driving and goes only 15/20 km/h instead of the usual 50/60 km/h. If you stop, turn the engine off and back on, the car goes normally again. Sometimes this repeats 2x or 3x in day, then it maybe goes normally for 2 weeks. What could be causing this?

Dont know much about that vehicle , if fuel filter fitted try changing . Otherwise carry out a diagnostic scan for stored fault codes
