Reently had new turbo, the car have now got a split pipe leading to the turbo from the intercooler the rac taped up the pipe to get back home should this have been changed with the turbo or is it a separate issue do you think it will be expensive as we just paid £1000 to get the turbo done

sounds a little on the dear side but the turbo could be 500 - 600 pound then they may have replaced the oil feed pipe to the turbo then labour on top most would not change the turbo pipes but they shouldnt be too expensive
