2004 Volvo C70 starting issues - the car just turns over and does not fire up

The last 2 days I noticed that the car would turn over longer than normal to fire up. The day before I had to leave it for a minute or two then it started fine. No problem for the rest of the day.
Then midday today, got in, it started reved up then just shut doewn. I did this twice...know all she does is tun over. I don't want to keep doing this as I may run the battery down. Any ideas or thoughts? Appreciate the help. many thanks.
