Discoloured trim

2002 Volvo C70 2.4t GT
Car: Volvo C70
Year: 2002
Variant: 2.4t GT
I had a stick on novelty air freshener on the dashboard and when I remove it, it left a sticky patch. My dad, whilst using the car, saw it and used meths to remove the glue. It worked but removed an area of laquer on the dash, which is noticeable and very annoying on my otherwise mint car. Anyone know of any plastic treatments or polishes I could use to restore the finish?

I'd get one of the ChipsAway blokes to have a look at it:

It's best to get annoying little things like this sorted out properly as they'll really bug you and make the car look tatty come trade-in/ sale time.

I know it sounds daft but try some of the home electrical appliance renovater stuff, plastic spray finishes for fridges etc, Homebase have plenty, you never know !
