1996 Volvo 440 cant get it to turn over

It started when i installed a new stereo in my car,i removed the old one then rewired it to the new one,all went well.i started the car after fitting the stereo,there were no problems,until following morning went out to car unlocked the car as normal put key in but when turned i was getting ignition lights but no turn over,checked every fuse in car found that 1 was blown so replaced it,still nothing.next i removed a spark plug to check if i was still getting a spark which i was,then went back to fuse box and removed the fuse for immobilizer,then tried to start car!NOW i was getting a turnover,but no ignition lights and still not fireing up,any suggestions,please help as i have a car with a full years MOT,but cant get it going,G Crombie

all i can say to that is you have disturbed something while fitting the stereo so pop out the stereo and just have a look to see if there is anything that looks out of place ie connections may have come apart and also check for fuel delivery as this would relate to the problem can you hear the pump prime when you turn the ignition on if not then look in that area
