2000 Volkswagen Polo anyone advise on engine oil?

Car: Volkswagen Polo
Year: 2000
Variant: 1.4 Petol

Can someone please advise of which engine oil I need for V Polo 1.4 petol year 2000. I have been advised from one place that it is 15w40 (halfords) and another that it is 5w30 (Millers Oils)

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Go here and put in your reg no. and it will tell you what type of oil ,capacities etc.

as above castrol site best place to get correct spec and when its to be changed most VM use/recommend castrol oil
