i have a question about my Golf, the head gasket has just been changed, but while driving the coolant gets too low, the warning light comes on i open the header tank filler and the coolant returns and the car is fine sometimes i have to replace a small amount of coolant any suggestions please? i also cant see any obvious leaks, and their is no white scum in the engine or filler cap...many thanks

Was the head skimmed / checked ? Could try bleeding cooling system . If not that get a pressure test to see if it shows any external leaks and if still not right , get a sniff test ( block test ) to see if head / gasket is o.k.
