2002 Vauxhall Zafira engine cuts out when revs are low

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2002
Variant: 1.6
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
I drove car home to night and car keeps cutting out at ever stop as the rev go down.
Oil level was low and there was oil around cam cover gasket and grit, so removed cover but looks ok. Any ideas.

Try spraying carb cleaner direct in to air intake, get somone to rev engine while you spray

I had a 1.6 Vauxhall astra. one day it suddenly started cutting out once the revs got too low so when i came to lights or a que of cars i would have to rev it to keep it ticking over.
took it to the garage and the EPG valve needed replacing. cheap job to get done but they are prone to go on vauxhalls.
