2002 Vauxhall Zafira internitent engine cut out

when driving for no reason the engione cuts out. I stop wait abour 5 mins then it restarts. Problem started about a week ago and is getting worse with the engine cutting out aboiut 5 times in 10 miles then it is ok for about 40 or 50 miles then it starts again. there is no engine management light.

Clean throttle body , check vacuum hoses , check this

might be the the crank sensor failing does it lose spark and fuel when it fails
