Gearbox slipping

Car was serviced December 2010 picked up car and all oil leaked out,had to get roadside recovery (oil sump nut not put on correctly)car was taken back to garage to fix then picked up again and while driving back noticed gearbox slipping went back to garage said no connection with oil leak and just to drive in 1st 2nd & 3rd (not drive) Well find this very frustrating especially from stops or roundabouts had found lucas transmission fix on internet will this work or does the gearbox need to be replaced

Dont know what the lucas transmission fix is . You could get a scan done to see what fault with g/box is or get a local auto trans. specialist to check out and advise on fault .

have you checked the condition of the auto fluid and that the level is correct?check the fluid does`nt smell burnt and that there is no metal filings in it indicating internal gearbox damage,get checked over by someone who knows about auto boxes
