2006 Vauxhall Zafira door lock and window

Hello their this is my first time on this site and i would really like some help please.

The rear nearside door eletric window stopped working about aweek ago and the same door will not lock when i click on the key fob.

i have taken the internal door panneling off and followed a report i had read on this website by another user saying that you should disconect the wire loom to the door lock by lifting the red leaver upwards and then unclip the cable and then expose the wires and check for any breaks in the cable i have done this now and all cable have no breaks in them. can anyone please help me with any ideas how to rectify the door lock and window problem. many thanks Andrew.

The wiring usually breaks where it passes into door from door pillar .

Thank you for your help i will try this tomorrow and look around the door pilar area, i have a plug like connection were the cables come and join at the door area, which bit do you think i should expose the cable that goes into the door pillar or the one on the doorside??? do you think that it might be anythink else apart from a broken wire that might have caused both the door lock and window not to work. ???
