my car is using alot of oil but its not leaking anywhere,so when oil gets low engine management light comes on and i losepower.any ideas why the oil is getting low all the while

If it's not leaking oil ,it would appear it's burning oil if as bad as you mention .Seems to be quite common on that car / engine .
