2005 Vauxhall Zafira car wont start on first start of the day (intermittent)

We are having problems starting the car on the first start up of the day. Sometimes this happens if the car has been stood for more than a day, or the day after.Sometimes this wont happen for a good week or so. We've changed the fuel filter and the glow plugs several months back but this is still happening.
Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

leaking injector seals is common fault on these engines,check the fuel for oil contamination and renew seals and leak off pipes
