2006 Vauxhall Zafira wiring through door to central locking breaking

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2006
Variant: 1.6 mpv B class new shape
Categories: Electrics, ECU, Warnings & Lights
the other week i went to lock my car central locking through out only access by key is drivers door the central locking was activated except drivers side rear door would not lock on checking locking mech it was ok but the wire through the door channel was broke to rewire car its 500 pounds the whole car has to be rewired rather than pay this amount as its way too much and the car is not that old only been on road 3.5 yrs i clipped the wires using connectors now all other doos have started to break opposite rear door has now gone and boot door is going its a joke the wire should not break like this the only way to get around it is to build a new loom from the door to the main body and fit a male and female to the under frame well in the car as the wire goes directly to the fuse box so if you have had this problem contact me with your idea to repair if our central locking goes dont buy a new lock without first checking the wiring in the channel that goes from the main body to the female clip situated in the door but what i want to know who do i contact to get the wiring male circular fitting as the dealers dont sell it and hard to find a wreck to remove part also insurance will not accept any responsability if car is broken into as doors wont lock

i have had this problem on my zafira with the wiring breaking on both sides read doors,i simply pulled back the rubber on the wiring and fitted crimp connectors to the wires, cheaper to do this as you can`t get a new connector unless you pay for a new body loom which will break again anyway,it is a design fault with the door harness which is also common on the astra as well.

ive tried to use connectors unfortunatly the wire has broke too close to the male clip so its hard to clip the wire does the loom split down ie the male clip so i can rethread the wire

the wiring plug does seperate but you need a special terminal tool to release terminals from plug, even then you still need to try and get the correct electrical terminals to fit back in the plug
