1999 Vauxhall Zafira juddering

get the egr valve replaced and also have who ever fits the valve to put in a blank egr valve gasket this is to trick the cars ecu and will stop the car juddering and cutting out on you

Who checked the vehicle for you, was it a diagnostic equipped garage? just plugging a basic code reader in is not going to solve the problem. Sometimes it may seem like a coil pack problem but it could be that that what we call the the coil triggers have failed meaning that the engine control unit is faulty, an egr fault would not normaly present itself until the engine is warm. And there is a software update available from a dealer for egr faults, if you take it in for a small service ie oil and filter they're supposed to do this as part of the service.

it was a proper garage that checked the electrics and they said everything came back it was ok the car does start juddering when you have just set off but a lot of the time it does it throughout the journey it is due its service and mot next week will they pick any thing up when doing this when we took it into the garage the man took the car for a drive and it didnt judder for him

on mots they check all sorts of things and the car will pass or fail depending on whats wrong if the juddering affects the emissions so it may passand it may not but it may be worth giving the car a service like mrfixit said but and see how things go from there for you
