2003 Vauxhall Zafira water in footwell

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2003
Variant: 1.8 elegance
Categories: Leaks & Noises
I have a 2003 Zafira and have standing water in the front footwell. This water is clear rather than dirty. I have checked all the seals around doors etc with the hose and no leaks. Took all the carpets up and front console and there was loads of standing water. Dried it out and believed that the leak was comming from the rear wiper washer, so disconected it. Checked again the other day and still standing water. HELP PLEASE as i cannot think where the water is comming from.

Could check corners at engine bulkhead , water drains there can get choked causing water to build up and enter car .

If vehicle has a/c check to make sure drain is not blocked. Also check door membrane on nearside

If so , could check to see if rain water getting in through or past the pollen filter.

check the pollen filter is`nt blocked and check the drain tube for ac is`nt hanging off,and make sure the scuttle panel is fitted to the bottom of the windscreen correctly, check for any loose or incorrectly fitted grommets or seals on bulkhead area

hi,long job but remove passenger front seat.
remove carpet may need to remove drivers seat.
remove all trims that cover body panels.
get assistant to hose the car around the windscreen and all front body panels where there is a join.
whist being hosed use a torch to check the body panels inside to see if leaking.hose the sun roof if fitted .

I have the same problem with gallons of water between the carpet flooring & the car floor pan. When parking on a slope the water puddles in the front. I removed the floor blank by the rhs of the driver seat & I was amazed to see that the whole floor was awash. I sucked out more than 10 litres of water with a vacuum pump! There is still plenty of water there on the passenger & driver side as I can hear it sloshing around when driving & there is sponge material between the floor pan & carpeted floor which stays sodden. Cant seem to find any drainage plugs that are any use in the floor pan as nothing comes out from the ones I found. Still no idea where the water is coming from as only the flooring is wet. The windscreen takes ages to de mist due to the moisture in the floor. Any ideas how to dry the gap between the floor & floor pan out? No idea how so much water got there in the first place as from the sound of it there are still gallons down there! FYI we have never driven through floods, but did accidentally leave the windows down at night when there was torrential rain.
