2003 Vauxhall Zafira it cutting out when going down the gears

after driving at high speeds when going down the gears the car cut out and i have problems trying to start it again have to pump the accearator pedel also have this problem some times when starting he car up after being idel for a will.

check your idle control valve and throttle housing are not clogged up,if so give them a clean,do you get any warning lights on the dash?is it a temp related fault?

I dont get any warming when it is going to cut out.
