2005 Vauxhall Zafira emission light came on
Year: 2005
After a clean bill of health at last months mot, the emission light came on, what can this fault be? I know nowt about cars and have read some right horror stories on the net about people ending up paying a fortune.
I am based in sunderland if anyone knows an honest garage they can recommend.

Zafira emissions light (from handbook )
If it lights up when the engine is running:
Fault in emission control system. The permitted emission limits may be exceeded. Consult a workshop. We recommend a Vauxhall Authorised Repairer.
If it flashes when the engine is running:
For fault that can lead to destruction of the catalytic converter - see page 190. Consult a workshop immediately. We recommend that you consult a Vauxhall Authorised Repairer.
Could be something simple , but best to get it scanned and see what shows.
