2001 Vauxhall Zafira engine cuts out

Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2001
Variant: Club
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
My Zafira starts fine from cold and runs ok until it reaches optimum temperature then it starts to judder and when I slow down at a junction it cuts out and a warning light that resembles a box with a star inside it comes on. It then takes a few attemps to start up again and it runs ok for a few more miles and then the problem returns.

I had the same problem two years ago and the dealership told me that the problem was a faulty coil pack, it was replaced and the car ran ok until now.

I have never had to replace a coil pack on a car before so is this a fault unique to Zafiras or was I conned the last time.

Not unique to your car , very common fault on numerous/ most makes of cars nowadays .

it could be the fuel tank breather pipe is blocked, try running the car with no petrol cap on. see if the problem continues.
