2002 Vauxhall Zafira went through flood water

went through water, got swamped by a truck and cut out ,got car towed home and let dry out overnight, used easy start to start next day, after starting blew loads of white smoke out ,then cleared and ran ok no smoke ,no loss of power no oil in water or water in oil,but when first starting up blows smoke out again and runs lumpy till engine reaches running temp then ok.not sure if glow plugs arent heating diesel orif something electrical has been damaged .any ideas on what it colud be .cheers jeff64

nothing to serious to worrie about but would have it checked out just to be safe may just be damp in some places ie pump area and pumping fuel in when not required ie over fueling

hi,have had airflow meter changed,as told not working and problem is still same only on starting up it blows white smoke out and runs eraticly, when warm car runs ok have been told vacuum solenoid may not be working but there are three ,it has cost 160 quid so far can anyone suggest what problem could not be if not one of them.thanx
