Steering lock

2005 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 design
Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2005
Variant: 1.6 design
Categories: Running Rough, Starting & Power Loss
Used the last of my money to update my car pre-retirement and I just feel I have bought "a Dog" all sorts of problems with the garage over the sale, and I should have walked away. They promised service and didn't, promised MOT and sort anything needed, when I received cert weeks after sale, warning of wear to front tyres which I still have to sort. Wrangled 12 months warrenty out of them (ends Jan) and obviously want to be aware of anything that may need doing under warrenty.

Its nothing really specific at the moment, I just don't fully trust it. Running OK,although I find the pick-up from start to accelerating away not nippy and "lumpy" and no matter how hard I try, tends to kangeroo a bit. But main worries are intermittently I have difficulty getting it into reverse and steering lock is a pest. I never deliberately turn and lock it, but it seems to be half on, half off almost every time I come to start it, then I have a bit of a struggle to get key in and unlock steering.Just all feels loose and cheap and as if something will break. Is this normal - if it fails, will it be a big job ? Thanks, and this is my first day here, so be gentle with me. Thanks very much
