Swooshing sound when accelerating

whenever you put your foot on the accelerator there is a swooshing sound and as soon as you remove it the sound ceases,I don't know if this happens with all models and if its a common problem any help would be appreciated.

does it do it in neutral as it may be a belt or pully.try putting foot on clutch could be box bearings or clutch bearing
