Brake Lights stay on on engine start.

Cannot cure tried new bulbs, fuses, brake switches x3 and removed and cleaned the fuse box under the bonnet.

If you disconnect the wiring at brake pedal switch , do they still stay on ? If so check for damaged / shorting wires at top of tailgate in rubber sheaf which supplies the centre brake light at top which may be feeding the others .
