2012 Vauxhall Zafira engine sound rough and is over heating

The car was in the garage with a burst water pipe and front section of exhaust renewal.
It’s been sounding rough for a wee while, on a 100mile round trip yesterday it started over ovheating and the fan comes on straight away once it’s started

Must have been more problems caused after overheating .Possibly cyl head gasket .Get a pressure test on cooling system and a block test carried out also if needed .
