Dashboard coolant light on

my first post
so please go easy
The dashboard coolant light flickering on off now permanent on. Have checked all coolant pipes no leaks and expansion bottle correct level the engine temperature is normal as before and heater works ok
I have checked old coolant sensor it is ok but still replaced it with new NTC type..
when sensor wires shorted the fan comes on so this part of sytem seems ok but fault light remains on.. any sensible sugestions please that wont cost arm and leg?

Check the brown wire from the CTS for shorts,
It runs from CTS to plug "A" terminal #38.
peel back all the insulation from the harness and eyeball all of it.
Oh and thank you for all the correct information concerning vehicle/engine type.
Usually we just get "my Vauxhall won't work"
And we have to guess engine/fuel type even age!!
