Rev Counter

2004 Vauxhall Zafira 1.6
Car: Vauxhall Zafira
Year: 2004
Variant: 1.6
Categories: Engine & Drivetrain
Recently I have replaced few censors due to engine management light coming on and have noticed that the rev counter is exactly half the speed i.e. if I am driving at 60 mph then the rev counter is 30. If the speed is 70 mph then rev counter is 35. It has done 73K miles.

I took it back to the garage but they cannot find a fault. Can anyone please help or advise. I have not yet experienced any problem with performance.

Was it not doing that prior to replacing sensors ? I have driven cars where those reading would be perfectly normal
