Vauxhall Zafira control indicator fault

Vauxhall Zafira Control indicator (car & spanner) light comes on - engine electronics? 2004 Vauxhall Zafira Problem The control indicator light (spanner & Car) light comes on and the vehicle loses power - the handbook say "emergency running programme". It did it once when very new and the dealer found no fault - now 60k miles later it has started doing it. Switch off ignition and it seems to re-set but later the light comes on again and power is lost. Easy to fix but not cheap. Car running fine now.
